Audits
Audits are commonly perceived as a necessary evil and whilst it is true that a significant proportion of audits are indeed imposed upon organisations by outside legislation or agencies, it is possible for your business or organisation to benefit from the process.
We are experienced in the conduct of audit assignments from standard statutory audits on annual financial statements to audits for specific purposes such as to support grant claims from both domestic and european funders.
Planning is key to carrying out an effective and efficient audit. We meet with audit clients prior to their year end in order to identify key audit issues. Such an early stage meeting also allows us to discuss any specific areas that the client wishes us to focus on above and beyond our normal audit work. This provides the client with the opportunity to benefit from the audit process via a specifically targeted review of part of their organisation in a cost effective manner.
It is usually most effective to carry out as much of the audit fieldwork at client’s premises as possible and we plan our work accordingly.
Our audit process is fully computerised and tailored specifically to a client’s needs and circumstances. Time is spent formulating our audit approach to ensure that the assignment is conducted efficiently and fully complies with all relevant auditing standards.
During the course of our fieldwork audit staff are specifically trained to identify management feedback points for clients identifying areas where a client’s system or procedures can be improved, adding real value to the audit process.
Once the fieldwork stages of our work are complete files are reviewed by the manager and partner promptly, formal feedback documents issued and the audit partner will meet with senior management to discuss the audit and its findings.
Whatever the size or nature of your organisation we have the skills and resources to provide you with a robust and cost effective audit.
