Last week Winter Rule took part in a seminar with a difference. Presenting a budget update to wills and probate specialists at a Cornwall Law Society event held at Padstow Lifeboat Station (pictured).

In addition to keynote presentations by Winter Rule Tax experts John Endacott and Steve York, the event also included talks from both the Legacy team and volunteers from the RNLI as well as a tour of the lifeboat station and an opportunity to see the Padstow Tamar class lifeboat launch on exercise.

Kate Ireland, RNLI Legacy Manager for the south west, says the event was vital for a charity like the RNLI that relies on legacies, great and small, to continue its work saving lives at sea;

‘Every legacy to the RNLI is a lifesaver. Whether a gift like this is small or large, funding boots or lifeboats, each one helps our volunteers stay safe and save more lives. However, we don’t believe in putting people under pressure and we will always respect the fact that family must come first. We also believe in inviting people to come and see our work at first hand, so this gathering of the Cornwall Law Society will, we hope, help the specialists understand our role on the coast.’
