Corporate Team

The Corporate team at Francis Clark with Winter Rule provide an experienced, practical and timely service to our larger and more complex business clients. They provide a complete accounting and taxation compliance service and also planning advice to such clients.

Whilst it is true that all businesses face the same basic issues, larger and more complex clients are often impacted by different legislation and regulations and our corporate team are well trained to advise on these.

Many of the clients dealt with by this team have multiple business entities whether via a group of companies, a parallel structure involving corporate and non corporate entities or a hybrid structure involving a limited company and a limited liability partnership.

Such clients give rise to particular issues in respect of financial reporting, direct taxes and VAT. Having a team dedicated to dealing with these types of clients means that issues are identified and dealt with efficiently using the support of other teams within the firm where appropriate.

Changes in accounting standards and regulations often affect clients in our corporate team first and more severely than clients elsewhere in the firm and so we spend a lot of time ensuring that our staff are kept up to date with current and future developments. This enables us to keep our clients well advised of impending changes and the impact on them.

In the majority of cases we process and manage the personal tax affairs of owner / managers within the team to ensure an efficient and joined up approach is taken. Support is given by the firm’s tax team as appropriate.

Clients dealt with by the corporate team include many where management and stake holder groups are separate and this itself creates a different business dynamic, which we are well used to dealing with.
