Experience

Scott is a Partner in the Small Business Department. He trained and qualified with KPMG, one of the largest international accountancy firms in the world. During his training he gained experience  of a wide variety of clients ranging from owner managed businesses to multinational groups.

Following qualification as a Chartered Accountant Scott continued his training and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor. This tax knowledge has proven invaluable to him in advising a broad range of owner managed businesses ranging in size and structure.

As well as dealing with client's annual accounting and tax compliance needs Scott has experience of advising clients in the following areas:

  • Business Structuring
  • Sales and acquisitions
  • Finance and Funding issues
  • Personal and corporate tax planning
  • Dealing with both personal and tax investigations
  • Assisting clients with business strategy
  • Assistance with budgeting and forecasting

In addition to his general commercial work Scott heads up the firm's Charities, Dental and Licensed Trade teams.

As one of the firm's audit partners, a position that is mainly relevant to his charity clients, he provides the annual assurance that they need on their financial statements and has also acted as audit partner on other assignments such as the audit of grant claims.
